I’m glad I have the recording, because I lost the binder with the written music in it long ago…a lot of other stuff from that same period is simply lost.
…I’m sure the world of music is crushed by this news…

Oh, wow. I'm fascinated with this piece. The melodic structure seems medieval and baroque yet contemporary. I love that the melody doesn't go where I'd expect it to go--but where it goes is perfect. Very haunting and beautiful. Please tell me you have more?

I'm guessing that Carol Thompson must also play with her fingernails, as her CDs have that same bright sparkle. Although to be fair to the pedal harp, the Lyon & Healy pedal harps do have that bright bell tone. I have found the Salvi harps to be much more mellow & like the "melted chocolate" you described, and the Venus harp is closer to the Lyon & Healy bright tone, although a touch more mellow. Supposedly there is a German harpmaker that makes a lovely pedal harp as well but I've never had the chance to play one.
